Noteworthy stuff I did this month
Traveling
I leaved Thailand on the 31st of May!
Learning & University
I am finally done with finals at Thammasat University ! Everything went fine, and I am passing all my subjects.
Upgraded my resume to match this website UI design.
As an Epitech ambassador, I have updated the international university website for Epitech one last time. I hope this will help any future French Epitech students in their exchange to Thailand.
My EIP (Epitech Innovative Project / end of master project) has reached it’s beta stage ! Road to release in December 2024 (hehe).
Programming
Had the opportunity to get a bit of experience with the Stripe payment gateway. I really want to try to put this behind a nice service interface in a future project !
Spent some time deep diving into the Apple iOS and android Material 3 human interface guidelines / UX & UI systems. I am fascinated by the art of making things consistent yet captivating since my days trying out GTK+3 and 4. In the future I’d like to make my apps an extension of those “design systems” to provide a more familiar user experience.
With the same goal in mind, I had a quick look at KMM (Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile).
Finally installed Copilot on Neovim. It’s 85% great but still doing some mistakes - sometimes hard to catch ones.
Out of curiosity I have read RFCs:
- 2104 : HMAC
- 4226 : HOTP (based on HMAC)
- 6238 : TOTP (based on HOTP)
- 7519 : JWT
- 2119 : Key words for use in RFCs (funny it’s a recursive RFC)
Events
With tears in my eyes, I have attended my last DevMorning at Bangkok ! The meetup is scheduled to be stopped soon due to personal matters of the host.
For the record, this meetup is now available in :
- Singapore
- Tokyo
- Ho-Chi-Minh City
Had a ton of fun attending this meetup, and if I find the time, I’d like to add a new location in Paris, France.
